Okay, my doc is officially the coolest thing since sliced bread. She has a 3d ultrasound!! And she doesn't mind taking the time to just play with it! I had a 45 minute ultrasound today - we got up close and personal with junior. (I think we pissed the baby off - it was definitely ready for us to leave it the hell alone...)
Anyway, here's baby's first (totally unintelligble) 3d ultrasound. A note to the wise, apparently the 3d had to chop off the baby's legs in order to be able to make sense of the pictures (to make it 3 dimensional) - in any case, no, the baby does not have stumps for legs - it just looks like it.
And here're three more normal sonogram pictures just for the heck of it. Oh yeah, the nuchal fold scan didn't come up with anything unusual, so down syndrome and other chromosomal abnormalities are very unlikely.
Baby's looking just great! At least one hand has all 5 fingers, you could count the bones on the ultrasound.
And baby's feisty like it's mama!
