He's figured out how to scoot around backwards on his butt, and on one occasion even managed to scoot forwards on his butt for about 5 feet. When you're scooting backwards, you sometimes end up in interesting places.
All this scooting is generally accompanied by a great deal of squealing in glee. We throw in the occasional screeching contest - sometimes I win, sometimes he does but it's always very loud...
All this mobility has resulted in a little black-and-blue splendor. He tries so hard to reach for things while he's sitting up that he just tips straight over onto his forehead. The resulting "thunk" scares the shite out of ya every time. He managed his best goose egg so far at his grandma's house. (We took pictures for evidence of how she abuses the poor child.)
And yesterday I noticed what I think is a tooth (or two). We're still not sure cuz the little brat simply refuses to let us check his teeth out...and hangs his tongue out over his gums when he's jonesing for Cheerios (yes, we tried this approach). So we got a little creative this evening and I tried letting him chew on the camera while taking pictures. :)
See that little dot of white in the lower right corner? That's a tooth!! (Although we're still not sure if the white we're seeing is totally through the gums or if it's just under the gums). I'm thinking it's two teeth, actually - either that or one really big monster. I suppose we should know for sure within the next couple of months, eh? How quickly do these puppies push on through, anyway?
Between the two, we've been seeing quite a bit of this face lately...
