We celebrated Dylan's first 4th of July in style at our house today. Invited all the ex-pats over for a little grilling, fireworks and fun. Someone took pity on us and ordered up a little cloud cover to keep us all from drowning in our own sweat. (Still crazy hot but at least no one got sent to the hospital with heat stroke...)
We had a grand old time - plenty of squirt guns, bubbles and splashing (although we could've done with more fireworks, I think...there's always next year.) And I really enjoyed welcoming several new families to the area (some only weeks old).
And Dylan had a great time watching it all...
On another note, he's definitely over his stranger anxiety. Several people spoke to him (and even touched him) when I wasn't even standing directly next to him and he was chill. (Not exactly smiley happy people, but not screaming, scaredy children either...) Yay!
