So I'm pretty sure the Schnegglet takes after me. At least he/she/it is proving pretty damn contrary so far. Either that or we just have an extremely shy (read prude) child. So yeah, the baby was breech this time around - not a concern since it's still early days but it makes it tough to get a shot of the goods. I'll try to quote our conversation verbatim...
OB: "What did I say it was last time?"
G: "We're not gonna tell you, that's cheating."
Tense silence
OB: "Your child is making me nervous."
E&G: "Why?"
OB: "I said it was a girl last time, didn't I?"
E&G: "Yup."
OB: "That's why your child is making me nervous."
E: "Oh yeah, I see it!"
G: "What do you see?!?"
E&OB: "Testicles."
OB: "Tendancy toward testicles, still not a positive identification."
G: Shell-shocked, just-been-slapped-with-a-fish face
E: "Bwhahahahahaha." (Points finger at G) "I told you it was gonna be a boy! Bwahahahahaha."
OB: "But the baby's growing very well, I don't see anything that concerns me."
E: "Grew so well that it grew a penis."
G: Cranky, just-ate-a-lemon face
E: "Bwhahahahahaha."
(Some time elapses, walking out of the office):
E: "Bwhahahahahaha."
G: "Shut up."
(In the car on the way to work:)
G: "I guess Aaron'll just have to be responsible for the girls."
E: "Bwahahahahaha."
Seriously though, I did tell G last night that I was gonna laugh so hard if it turned out to be a boy. (Although neither of us really expected this, we also weren't totally shocked - at least I wasn't.) In any case, you might be getting yours back this time around, mom. It would appear that Karma has finally come to bite me in the ass. I'm going to be raising myself. Panicked, scared face.
Since my stubborn 2nd child also appears to dislike cameras, we again didn't come away with any real usable photo ops. I do have a picture of a toe, in 3D no less. I'll have to scan that one in when I get home, but I had to share now because I'm still laughing my ass off over here. :)
I think siblings of the same gender are always awesome! (Which is why I'm still giving John a sliver of hope for #4 :) Glad to hear the baby is healthy!!! Remind me when you're due...July right?
