Some of Miles' miles'tones. (And I'm totally going back to look at my 366 pictures, I knew those were good for something):
First solids: January 9th at 6 months. We tried bananas...nothing doing. The first successful solid was pears. And once I get to project # 42 on my list I'm totally making a poster of the many faces of Miles as he tried apples for the first time.
I finally pronounced Miles' an official sitter-upper on January 26. At just under 7 months.
First tooth: Feb. 18th, 2012 - he's a pretty good teether. Not quite as nonchalant as Dylan was but I'm not gonna complain.
We now have 4 teeth, the two middle lower teeth, one upper next-to-middle and one upper middle. (It irritated me so much that I don't know what that side tooth is called that I've now googled it. Tooth #3 was his upper lateral incisor, followed by his upper central incisor...how's that for some information I'll forget 37 seconds after I've read it?) In any case, he's working on the pairs to those two upper teeth at the moment.
Crawling: March 9th, 2012 at 8 months. Look mom, I'm finally getting you a video of something! Aren't you proud?
And I'm kinda sure that he's saying "mama" now, maybe? I can't tell if it's intentional or not. But he says it every time I leave the room. (Although he might be saying "milk"...cuz let's face it. At the moment "mama" and "milk" are pretty interchangable in his mind). I'm also thinking he's learned how to say "no" pretty early. Last night we were upstairs playing and I asked him if he was ready to go downstairs to bed and he said, "na-nei-na-nei." Which sounds an awful lot like "nein."
So now I'm not sure if 2nd children really do everything that much faster or if 2nd-time parents are just better at realizing when they're doing something. I know Dylan had been saying "hi" for a while before I realized that's what he was really saying. God knows how many other words I missed just because I didn't know what I was looking for.
