Tribulations of a bilingual child

W've been laughing a lot lately about Dylan's Danglish...but tonight he took the prize:

"I maching a neue Turm."

This can only truly be appreciated by those who speak both German and English, but I'll try to explain its beauty...

I = English

Maching = German "machen" for (to make) but with the addition of the English "ing" for present progressive tense

A = English

Neue Turm = German for "new tower"

So in English it would've been, "I'm making a new tower." Or in German it would've been, "Ich mache einen neuen Turm." Combined in all its glory you get, "I maching a neue Turm."

You poor genius child...understanding the grammar of both and using grammar rules of either language to englishize a German word or vice versa...a masterpiece of collaborative language.
