Sunday Dylan started finding enjoyment on standing for the very first time! Dad put some diaper wipes on the couch in his office and Dylan stood holding onto the couch and had the best time putting the wipes on the floor, then back on the couch, then on the floor, then back on the couch, then on the floor...
Since then he's becoming much more of a little puller-upper. Especially on me. If I'm sitting on the floor he likes to scoot up between my legs and use my shirt/shoulder to pull himself to a stand. I guess mom is just the perfect size (he gets mad that he can't quite get himself to a stand using dad.)
Might this mean he'll walk before he turns 18? Shocker.
But really, it's a little bittersweet. I have no problem with his delayed walking. At the moment, my life is pretty simple. Especially since his scoot is considerably slower than your average crawl. He's not exactly Speedy Gonzalez, so I can pretty much always prevent any mischief before it starts. Once the walking starts? Yeah, I don't wanna think about it.
They always seem to grow up overnight after those first steps. You'll do fine, Mama! Just think of it as another adventure. :) He's such a doll baby.
