Had my 2 OB appointments yesterday...met first with the OB who'll deliver me. He did the regular check-up. Everything looks normal. Lil' Schnegg's had his head down at my right hip, his back on my left side and his feet up by his face...I asked G, "if his back's here and his feet are by his face, WHAT does he keep ramming into my ribs & the right side o' my belly?" G's decided it's his butt. He's all, "that's probably why it hurts you so much. He's gotta have a lot more strength and be harder to move with his butt than a foot would be..."
Then I had my check-up for my edema with my regular OB. All clear on that front...she's all sorts of excited and raving about my "deer-like ankles" and laughing about how I actually HAVE ankles again...I got the all clear to work again (of course have to wear the support stocking through the end). They were a little more swollen today after my first day back in the office but I'm gonna try to alternate days working in the office with working from home (where I can prop these puppies up) to combat that. That should be me through the next 3 weeks. (Oh my God, I only have 3 more weeks of work!!!) Here's the proof that the legs are totally back to normal...
Anyway, then I asked her about the double appointments...that the other OB had scheduled me for an appointment on the same day as I already had one with her. She's all, "why? for what?" I told her he said he was gonna record the heart sounds. She said, "that's what I'll do at your next appointment." So she basically said it's up to me how I wanna handle the last appointments - whether I keep going to her or whether I stay with him up through the delivery. I can see a certain sense in letting him chart my progress in the very last stages before labor but...I just like her SOOO much more. Guess I'll talk to G and decide by tomorrow-ish...
In a super surprise, I'd LOST a pound since my last OB appointment! Yay! (Since I definitely have "extra" to spare having gained about 33 pounds so far). Here're the latest belly pics for your viewing enjoyment. ;)
